Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required to use the Service in your country.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

AfterStream is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.

If you use the Service on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to agree to these Terms on its behalf.

Using AfterStream

AfterStream is a post-stream workspace for creators. You can submit completed streams from supported platforms, currently including Twitch and Kick, and AfterStream analyzes them to help you understand what happened, identify moments worth reviewing, and prepare content such as clips, thumbnails, titles, hooks, and captions.

AfterStream recommends. You decide. You decide what to preview, edit, copy, download, or publish — AfterStream does not automatically publish anything on your behalf.

Supported platforms, integrations, features, and processing behavior may change as the Service evolves.

Accounts

You sign in to AfterStream using a sign-in link sent to your email address rather than a password. Each AfterStream account is associated with one email address, and you're responsible for access to that email address, any active sign-in session, and activity occurring through your account.

You may optionally connect a Twitch or Kick account and disconnect it at any time.

You may not access another person's account without authorization, impersonate another person, or use your account in a fraudulent or unauthorized manner.

Submitted content

You choose which completed streams to submit to AfterStream. AfterStream processes information associated with a stream you submit, including stream metadata and chat activity, to identify highlight moments and generate related content such as clips, thumbnails, summaries, titles, hooks, and captions.

You retain ownership of the content and intellectual property that you own and submit or make available through the Service (“Your Content”).

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit Your Content and allow the Company to process it as described in these Terms.

You grant the Company a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to access, use, reproduce, store, process, modify, and create derivative materials and outputs from Your Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and provide its features to you.

This license does not transfer ownership of Your Content to the Company. For clarity, this license does not authorize the Company to use Your Content to train its own AI models unless you separately agree to such use.

You are responsible for ensuring that your submission and use of Your Content through the Service complies with applicable law and the rights and rules of the platforms and other parties involved.

AI-generated outputs

Depending on the stream, AfterStream may generate content such as a stream summary, explanations of why a moment matters, clip and thumbnail previews, YouTube title suggestions, and TikTok hooks and captions.

These outputs are recommendations meant to help you decide what to post next. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your particular purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing and, where appropriate, editing an output before using or publishing it.

AfterStream does not guarantee that a moment or generated output will perform well, grow your audience, increase engagement, or achieve any particular result, and does not publish anything on your behalf.

Data and AI processing

AfterStream uses artificial intelligence as part of certain features. Our Data & AI page explains what AfterStream processes, what information is currently sent to our AI provider, and what is not sent.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, the service providers involved, and the choices available to you.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to violate applicable law or another person's rights; submit content you do not have the right to process; gain unauthorized access to the Service, another account, or related systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; introduce malicious code; circumvent security, access, or technical restrictions; scrape or extract information from the Service through unauthorized automated means; or use the Service in a fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive manner.

Third-party services

AfterStream integrates with Twitch and Kick, uses OpenAI to help generate stream summaries and content suggestions, Resend to deliver private beta waitlist acknowledgements, private beta invitations, sign-in emails, and processing notifications, and Cloudflare to provide website infrastructure and help protect forms from automated abuse.

These providers have their own terms and policies that may apply to their services. AfterStream and the Company are not endorsed by, partnered with, or affiliated with Twitch, Kick, OpenAI, Resend, or Cloudflare.

Changes to third-party platforms or services may affect the features or availability of AfterStream.

Private Beta and waitlist

You may join the AfterStream Private Beta waitlist by providing your email address. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, a particular invitation date, or continued availability of the Private Beta.

If you receive access, the Service will still be evolving — features, processing behavior, and availability may change, and you may encounter bugs, incomplete features, or occasional downtime. The Company does not currently guarantee continuous availability or a specific processing time for any stream.

We may change, limit, suspend, revoke, or discontinue Private Beta access or the Private Beta itself at any time where reasonably necessary to operate, test, secure, develop, or discontinue the Service.

AfterStream intellectual property

The Service, including the AfterStream software, technology, website, branding, logos, designs, interfaces, documentation, and other materials provided by the Company, is owned by or licensed to De Medici Labs LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your use of the Service does not transfer ownership of AfterStream or its underlying technology, branding, or other intellectual property to you.

Nothing in this section changes your ownership of Your Content.

Account deletion, suspension, and termination

You can permanently delete your AfterStream account. As described in our Privacy Policy, this removes your account, connected-platform records, notification preferences, and submitted streams from AfterStream, subject to any limited retention described there or required by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create legal or security risk for the Company or others, or where suspension or termination is reasonably necessary to protect or discontinue the Service.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should continue after termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will survive termination.

Service availability and disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that generated outputs will always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, as well as other warranties that may otherwise arise by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Company's aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to the Company for the Service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its members, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your material violation of these Terms, or Your Content where it infringes or violates another person's rights.

Changes to the Service or these Terms

AfterStream may change as the product evolves, including through changes to features, supported platforms, integrations, or availability.

We may also update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date, and we will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.

If you continue using the Service after updated Terms become effective, your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and the Company consent to the jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

Nothing in this section limits rights available to you under applicable consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.
